Applying to Relay with an International Transcript
Applicants who have attended institutions outside of the United States are required to meet the following submission requirements in order to complete their application to Relay.
- All applicants who attended a higher-education institution outside of the United States must submit to Relay an official course-by-course evaluation of their international transcript.
- Some Relay locations require either an original official international transcript or an unofficial international transcript for their application. Some Relay locations only require course-by-course evaluations.

Course-by-Course Evaluation Details

All applicants must have their international transcripts translated into the American system with a course-by-course evaluation via SpanTran, WES, or any other accredited Foreign Credential Evaluators (A full list can be found here: http://www.naces.org/members & here: http://aice-eval.org/members/)

Please note: Relay can only accept evaluations from organizations in NACES or AICE. If an applicant submits an evaluation from a company outside of NACES/AICE then we will be unable to accept it for their application and they will be asked to resubmit.

The course-by-course evaluation should include the following:
- Name of the institution(s) you attended
- Dates of your attendance
- Credentials received
- The U.S. equivalent of your degree or credential earned
- Courses taken
- A U.S. equivalent credit value and grade for each course
- A U.S. equivalent grade point average (GPA)
- Proof that the degree is equivalent to U.S. accreditation
Official Transcript Details

If required by their campus (for reference, please see the table above), applicants must submit the following for their official international transcript:

An original copy of their official international transcript sent directly from their former international institution, or

A copy of the official transcript submitted directly from an approved evaluation company that accompanies the evaluation.

Transcripts sent to us that do not comply with these requirements will not be accepted and the applicant will be asked to resubmit.

Unofficial Transcripts Details (Pennsylvania Applicants ONLY)

Unofficial transcripts can be photocopies, pictures, or unsealed physical transcripts and be directly submitted from an applicant.

If required by their campus (for reference, please see the table above), applicants must submit an unofficial transcript for their application. Unofficial Transcripts must:

Be fully legible and

Contain the full academic record of the applicant’s time at that institution.

Study Abroad
Applicants who studied abroad while attending their undergraduate institution are not required to submit their study abroad transcript to Relay, provided that the study abroad credits are on their undergraduate transcript.

International VISAS
In order to be eligible for admissions to Relay, an applicant must secure a program-aligned position with a school partner. For some applicants who have attended institutions outside of the United States, you may find that you require visa sponsorship in order to secure employment with a school. Please note, Relay does not play a role in sponsoring international student visas. Please connect with your employer regarding any next steps regarding visa sponsorship. - If you would like to study as a full-time student in the United States, you will need a student visa. There are two immigrant visa categories for persons wishing to study in the United States. These visas are commonly known as the F and M visas.
