Delaware Alternative Route to Certification (ARTC) Program

Residents

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale from bachelor’s degree or higher institution - exceptions available on a first-come, first-served basis

  • Delaware Department of Education health clearance and criminal background check clearance

  • Subject-Specific Coursework and Demonstration of Content Knowledge - 24 credit hours or Praxis II exam by end of first year - see here

  • Active Initial, Continuing, or Advanced License and a Standard Certification in a content area and grade level that aligns with their current teaching role
