Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an institution of higher education that has institutional (formerly regional) accreditation through one of the U.S. Department of Education’s approved accreditation agencies: HLC, MSCHE, NECHE, NWCCU, SACSCOC, WSCUC. Verify your institution’s accreditation status on the Database of Accredited Postsecondary Institutions and Programs here.

    • Earned a 2.50 GPA in their last 60 credit hours of their undergraduate program, or

Subject-Specific Coursework:

Meet minimum credit requirements for the endorsement sought.

Demonstration of Content Knowledge:

As of August 2024, applicants are no longer required to pass the ILTS Content Area Exam(s) required for the endorsement sought prior to admission.  We highly recommend that applicants identify the exam that aligns with their endorsement area, start studying, and if possible make a first attempt.
