Relay currently offers the following programs in New Jersey:
Master of Arts in Teaching with or without Certificate of Eligibility (CE) Certification

A 2-year, 32 credit, Master of Arts in Teaching program leading to eligibility for a New Jersey Standard Certificate.

Residency
- The residency pathway supports aspiring teachers, offering a supportive gradual on-ramp into the profession.
- In the first year, students serve as teaching residents, completing a year-long apprenticeship alongside a lead teacher.
- After the first four terms and completing all EPP requirements, students who meet eligibility requirements can apply for their Initial Teacher License.
- In the second year, students teach as a teacher of record (lead teacher) under an Initial Teacher License.

Non-Resident Pathway

This pathway is designed for students who will be the teacher of record (lead teacher) beginning in the first year of enrollment in the MAT program.

Students will serve as a teacher of record (lead teacher) under a Certificate of Eligibility (CE) or Limited Certificate of Eligibility (Limited CE) throughout the program. Upon successful completion of the program, including all EPP requirements, students can apply for their New Jersey Standard Certificate.

Students who are not seeking certification may also enroll in the Master of Arts of Teaching through the non-resident pathway as a degree-only student.
Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education with or without Certificate of Eligibility (CE) Certification

A 2-year, 39-credit program leading to eligibility for a New Jersey Standard Certificate.

Advanced Certificate in Special Education

Relay offers an Advanced Certificate in Special Education program for certified educators who wish to expand their skill set to teach all learners. This is a 4-term, 21-credit post-baccalaureate certificate program.

This program offers an Advanced Certificate Only and Advanced Certificate + Certification program if the student already holds a CEAS or New Jersey Standard Certificate.

Prospective students must have an active teaching license to enroll in the Advanced Certificate in Special Education program.
