Relay currently offers the following programs for Washington, DC:
Master of Arts in Teaching
Master of Arts in Teaching with or without Licensure

A 2-year, 32-credit Master of Arts in Teaching program that will lead to a Washington, DC Standard Teacher Credential.

Relay Teaching Residency Pathway - Alternative Teacher Licensure Program

The residency pathway supports aspiring teachers, offering a supportive gradual on-ramp into the profession.

In the first year, students serve as teaching residents, completing a year-long apprenticeship alongside a lead teacher.

In the second year, students teach as a teacher of record (lead teacher).

After completing all EPP requirements over the two-year program, Relay will verify completion of the DC Alternative Teacher Licensure program.

Students may seek a single endorsement from the core subjects listed below.

Relay does not offer non-resident pathways in Washington, DC for the 2025-2026 school year.
