  1. Enabling two-factor authentication will help protect your account. When you log into Azure, you’ll need to do a one-time setup of two-factor authentication. You’ll see a series of steps that walks you through how to do this:

  • The first screen will look like this: https://share.getcloudapp.com/8Lu9gP0L

  • The default prompt is to download an app (Microsoft Authenticator) to set up two-factor authentication, but you can also choose to set up via phone/SMS and/or personal email,

  • To set up SMS two-factor authentication, click “I want to set up a different method” at the bottom of the screen. Please note: You’ll have to click this twice, once when you set up “Method 1” and again when you set up “Method 2.” For example, if you click “I want to set up a different method” twice, you’ll be able to set up Method 1 as phone/SMS and Method 2 as your personal email.

If you have questions about this, please reach out to [email protected].
