To register for State-specific Orientation, head to your status page.

State-specific Orientation is a one-hour virtual session designed to provide new Relay students with essential information related to certification, licensure, and teaching expectations in their specific state. Facilitated by state-based faculty and Relay support staff, these sessions ensure that you start your journey with clarity about the requirements and support systems unique to your location.

During this session, you'll gain an understanding of the licensure process in your state. These sessions are also an excellent opportunity to connect with the local faculty and staff who will be supporting you throughout your time at Relay.

Special Note about Orientations held on June 23 and July 14!

Some students may have EDU-500, EDU-540, or EDU-505 coursework scheduled earlier in the day on Monday, June 23, and Monday, July 14. You may choose to attend the orientations held on the same days after your coursework ends; sessions on both dates have been intentionally scheduled to follow EDU class times.

If you're enrolled in in-person classes on those dates, be sure to select orientation sessions that work with your schedule. This may mean attending the orientation on the same day after your class ends, or choosing a session on a different day. Several date options are available to ensure flexibility.

If you're looking for more details about our orientation events, we invite you to explore our New Student Orientation page. There, you will find valuable materials, including past recordings of sessions and responses to frequently asked questions that can help enhance your experience and understanding.
