The US Department of Education (ED) provided clarification about the temporary federal aid pause. The department confirmed that no grants or loans would be paused or delayed. At this time, Relay’s Student Financial Services team continues to review all Direct loan and TEACH grant applications. You can apply for federal loans with Relay here. No, Relay does not collect AmeriCorps timesheets. The Relay AmeriCorps Team keeps track of all member hours through an internal timekeeping system. Relay AmeriCorps members are part of a “Professional Corps” program. This means you earn service hours as a full-time employee at your school site. A traditional PK-12 calendar school year will provide ample opportunity for members to serve the minimum 1700 hours (or 1200 hours for a three-quarter time member if applicable) of required service hours.
