Update Your Information: Has your teaching placement changed? Your address? Please be sure to submit a student update form if any of your information has changed since you applied to Relay. Students can find the form on their status page in the student support tab on the status page. New information may include a new address, updates to your place of employment, or a change to the subject or grade area you are teaching. If you no longer have a teaching position, please email [email protected].

Ensure you have a strong grasp of the financial aspects of your program, including the following items:

  • Your Salary - Your salary will be in the offer from our school partner.
  • Out-of-Pocket Tuition - Relay programs are billed at $850 per credit.  Programs range from 18 to 39 credits.  What you will pay out-of-pocket depends on your program, partner, and awards and scholarships.  Your financial aid offer will be sent to you directly via email.
  • Certification Costs - This ranges by state, so make sure to look at the Certification Cost & Budgeting page.
  • Financial Aid Opportunities - Relay students are eligible for either the AmeriCorps award or a Residency scholarship to bring down the out-of-pocket tuition.  Beyond that, we highly recommend you fill out the FAFSA so you can use a federal loan if you need it.
  • External Scholarship Opportunities -  If you are seeking a scholarship, we encourage you to look for opportunities that exist for graduate students and educators.
  • General Budget for the Year - Check out the calculators and apps we’ve recommended on the Financing Your Education page.
